About me
If you’d like to know more, below you’ll find insights into my roots, my journey, and the voice that has shaped my work. I look forward to getting to know you and your voice.

I was born in Vienna, half American and half Austrian, and grew up in Berlin. Music and the stage have been part of my life from the very beginning.
I come from a family of musicians and educators. My father was an internationally renowned musician and professor who performed at the highest level. Because of this, I grew up surrounded by rehearsals, concerts of extraordinary quality, and teaching – and from an early age experienced both the magic and the intensity of a life in music.
Some of my earliest memories are shaped by sound: hearing my father practice in the early morning, sitting in great concert halls, and listening to exceptional musicians. Music was a constant presence throughout my childhood. This environment deeply shaped my ear, my sensitivity, and my connection to sound. Music was never separate from everyday life – it was something I absorbed, felt, and lived.
As a singer, I know the challenges of this profession from personal experience. For a long time – and even today – stage fright has been something I have battled with deeply. Before auditions or performances, the inner pressure could sometimes feel overwhelming.
Early on, I was fortunate to be supported by a wonderful coach: my mother. She showed me how essential trust, inner clarity, and a supportive mental attitude are for singing – and that mental training can be playful, creative, and inspiring.
She also introduced me to another important element of my work today: learning and memorization techniques. In my work, I draw – among other approaches – on accelerated learning (Suggestopedia). This is a wonderful method for musicians to learn music, texts, and complex material more efficiently and sustainably, make practice feel lighter, and support focus and confidence.
This is how my approach developed – one that brings together vocal work and mental coaching, creating a sense of balance, ease, and artistic freedom.

For a long time, I was searching – searching for a healthy, holistic way of singing, and for greater confidence and mental strength on stage.
In my vocal work, I eventually found an approach that truly worked for me: the combination is what makes the difference.I explored a wide range of methods – from bel canto and functional voice training to Estill Voice Training and the work of various teachers. Bringing these approaches together, taking what works and letting go of what doesn’t, ultimately freed my voice and allowed me to express my musicality more authentically.
At the same time, my work continues to be shaped by curiosity and ongoing development. I am constantly exploring new ideas, methods, and approaches that support the voice in a healthy and sustainable way. And sometimes, it is just as important to let go – allowing the voice to move freely and naturally. Both are essential. Technique becomes a toolbox for healthy, authentic, and free singing, and finding the balance between technical work and freedom of sound and expression is key.
This approach also shapes my teaching: every voice is unique. What works for one singer may not work for another, which is why I see vocal development as a shared process of exploration.
It also informs my own singing, as the voice is constantly evolving – which is exactly what makes working with it so endlessly fascinating.Alongside my vocal work, I have continued to deepen my training in mental techniques, expanding my repertoire of tools and approaches. My qualifications include, among others, NLP Practitioner as well as certifications as a Mental Trainer, Business Mental Trainer, and Resilience Trainer.
These methods support me in reaching an optimal state for focused practice, mental clarity, and confident performance.
Today, mental preparation is an essential part of my artistic work. When I step on stage, I feel prepared, present, and free – able to focus on what truly matters: singing with joy and sharing music with others.

I have been working as a professional singer for over fifteen years. My particular passion lies in art song and chamber music, where the connection between voice, text, and expression can be experienced most intensely and where a direct, personal connection with a smaller audience becomes possible.
I studied Music (BA) and Arts Management (BA) in the United States, graduating with honors. I then continued my studies at the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin), where I studied Voice (BA) and Vocal Pedagogy (MA).
Important artistic impulses came through masterclasses and song courses with artists such as Eric Schneider, Malcolm Martineau, Christiane Oelze, Helen Donath, Konrad Jarnot, Wolfram Rieger, and Axel Bauni.
As a soloist, I have performed in Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
A particularly formative experience was performing at the Salzburg Festival with the Konzertvereinigung Wiener Staatsopernchor, where I had the opportunity to work under the baton of Riccardo Muti and Mariss Jansons.
Since 2016, I have been a member of the professional chorus ensemble at the Landestheater Linz, where I have appeared on stage in numerous opera productions and have also performed as a soloist. To date, I have participated in around fifty productions including opera, operetta and musical theatre.
This many years of practical experience as a singer strongly informs my teaching, as I know the demands, joys, and challenges of a life in music from firsthand experience.

Alongside my work as a singer, I have also spent many years working in arts management and within the international music industry.
My professional experience includes positions with the Salzburg Easter Festival, the music publisher Boosey & Hawkes / Bote & Bock in Berlin and New York, as well as the classical music ticketing platform Classictic.
During this time, I gained valuable insight into the work behind the scenes of the music world—from artist relations, concert organization, and ticketing to publishing, promotion, music editing, translations, and writing artist biographies.
These experiences allow me today to approach the music profession from a broader perspective—both on stage and behind the scenes—and they also inform my career coaching for musicians.

It is both a great joy and a calling for me to accompany people in their vocal and personal development. I am continually inspired by seeing how people discover their voice, develop confidence, and find their own authentic form of expression.
In the area of voice training, I bring extensive pedagogical experience alongside my own artistic work as a singer. I have worked with singers and ensembles in a variety of contexts and have considerable experience in vocal coaching for choirs.
Since 2024, I have also been working as a voice teacher within the Upper Austrian State Music School System (OÖ Landesmusikschulwerk), where I enjoy working with both young singers and adult students.
In my work, I bring together several perspectives: those of the professional singer, voice teacher, and mental trainer. This perspective is further enriched by my experience in arts management, which has given me insight into the demands of the music profession from many different angles. You can find more information about my qualifications here.
I work with singers and musicians as well as with people who perform or present in other contexts—for example teachers, students, and speakers.
My goal is to give people practical tools that help them develop their voice, presence, and confidence in a sustainable way.
Because a free voice begins with a strong inner voice.
